Barna Bakó received his PhD in Economics from Corvinus University of Budapest in 2013. Before joining the Department he spent a year as a visiting researcher at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands), worked as a researcher at the Hungarian Academy of Science and has been working as Associate Professor at CUB since 2015. He received the National Excellence Prize as a junior researcher in 2015 and was granted with the János Bolyai Research Scholarship of the Hungarian Academy of Science in 2016. His research focuses on topics in game theory, microeconomics and Industrial Organization. He has experience in teaching for over a decade and his classes regularly get high ratings from students.
