Hubert János Kiss graduated from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 2003. After two years working as a financial analyst, he went on to study at the Universidad de Alicante to obtain a PhD in Economics in 2009. After he worked as an assistant professor for two years at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In 2011 he returned to Hungary and has been teaching in the Department of Economics at Eötvös Loránd University. He joined the Institute of Economics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 2013. His main research interests are bank runs, experimental and behavioural economics. He regularly teaches statistics, microeconomics, finance, behavioural and experimental economics. Moreover, he teaches each year a finance course in the MBA of the Universidad Católica de San Antonio de Murcia.
